About Us
Bullpen Trading, LLC was officially unveiled in 2009, but its origins date back decades. With more than 40 years of hands-on, real-world market experience, we launched Bullpen Trading, LLC at a time when we believe there is a need for a back-to-basics approach in the financial world. After working with several financial firms, we saw the opportunity to harness our experience with the tremendous resources of RJ O'Brien to start an Introducing Brokerage that is focused on top-notch service and trade execution.
Our areas of expertise range from creating hedging plans, to in-depth understanding of complex trading systems. We understand the background, and special offset needs of "scale trading" to give those clients individual attention. Our understanding of the option market allows us to develop spreads, short option strategies, or deliver specific data that can put our clients ahead of the crowd. Having the right information at the right time, can be the difference between success or failure in the fast-pace world of international commodity trading!
Scott Davis
President and Owner of Bullpen Trading, LLC. Scott's background in the markets began in 4-H as he worked with his parents on a progressive northeast Iowa family farm. After graduating from Iowa State University, he spent time on the trading floors in Chicago before returning to Iowa as the Sr. Market Analyst for a leading ag advisory publication. He became a broker in 2003 and remains fully licensed in commodities, stocks and insurance and is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist. Scott and his two sons are proud to call Rochester, MN home and they remain very active in boy scouts and soccer, and robotics, along with other activities.
Karen Cady
Vice President and Marketing Director. Karen was originally from Wisconsin, but she became active in the markets while working with clients at a leading ag advisory service in Iowa starting in 1993. She transitioned to the brokerage industry in 1999 and can proudly say that a number of her clients have been with her ever since. Karen is also fully licensed in commodities and stocks to help provide her clients with an understanding of their complete financial picture. Like Scott, Karen is proud to call Rochester, MN her home, and is active in the community. She is the volunteer leader for a large troop of Girl Scouts and helps with the Minnesota/Wisconsin council with numerous projects. Working with children is a passion of Karen's when she is not following markets. She is also part of the United Way's Woman's Leadership Council where she is also active with fundraising and community awareness projects that focus on children.
